It was with great anticipation that Garenne Shopfitting entered into a new era, as well as a new sector, for the business in 2018. Nearing twenty years in business, and having grown from would-be retail newcomers to an established and respected company in UK Shopfitting circles, delivering many high quality retail fit outs towards the more luxurious end of the high street along the way, we wanted to start the next chapter of the business in style.
Having been awarded the project in late August, our first venture into the food and beverage sector for our client Green & Fortune was a potentially prestigious opportunity with an ambitious programme, which is normally the case in our line of work. The project consisted of a full strip out and refurbishment of the Rotunda Bar and Restaurant, the Battlebridge Room (the client's hospitality suite), and the G&F Café in Kings Place, which is situated in Kings Cross by the Regent's Canal. The Rotunda Bar and Restaurant are so called from the 'rotund' shape of the building. This proved to be a real challenge manufacturing and installing joinery, fixtures and fittings into the spherical space.
